PARASOL

This is Konagi’s “Ocean” series of ceramic art/ sculpture - drawing from his experience as a surfer and the playful, free, and often introspective quality that water brings. The series’ use of color, naive motifs, and nostalgic imagery reconnects viewers to a sense of wonder and childhood delight. 

“Parasols” attempts to bring the series out of the ocean and into the joy and simplicity one feels when interacting with the ocean. Mimicking a candy like pastel quality, the work encapsulates the overall sense of frivolity and pleasure interacting with the ocean can bring.

These are one of a kind pieces made by the artist. 

You can assemble and disassemble the parasols easily without any tools and it comes with the original box so no worries about breaking while flying in the air.
